Curiosity about Suriname:
- In the seventeenth century the country was colonized by English and Dutch. The last one acquire rights over the territory. Since 1975, after its independence, Dutch Guiana is called Suriname. The official language is still the Dutch, although the Taki-Taki, native language is widely spoken.
